Fiesta Medals
[Position] :: Whole Foods MarketIn-Store Graphic Artist Lead [Overview] :: Create unique Whole Foods Market Fiesta Medals to celebrate both 2017and 2018 city wide festival. As I created the concepts to the medals, I had The Vineyard Team Leaders vote for the top three medals. Then, in our all-store meeting I introduced a voting system for the three medals that were initially selected by the leaders. The top two concepts selected by the Team Members became the store's medals for the next two consecutive years. [Role] :: Conceptualize, Organize, Collaborative Input, Design, Preflight, and Send to Production
2017 Avocado Medal Pitch
Avocados are the unofficial (should be official) fiesta starter! They are the foundation to any savory dip. And dare I say, the ingredient for a smashing time. So, let’s celebrate our “healthy fat” friend by giving him a medal! The design concept is to have an avocado that is half peeled. The unpeeled side will be illustrated in a black, two-tone Spanish textile while the Whole Foods Market green logo will resemble a produce look up sticker. The peeled side will be typographically illustrated with the callout “Fiesta 2017” in green while the negative space will be a lighter green for contrast. Viva el Avocado!

2018 Grocery Bag Medal Pitch
This will be the perfect goodie bag to hand out for this year’s fiesta. Having the Whole Foods Market iconic brown paper bag designed as a fiesta flag will showcase some essential items for any fiesta celebration. The bag will include a red pepper, a bottle of beer, corn on the cob, and an avocado. With this festive medal design, people will not forget to grab their bags.
