Overview | Inspired by the discovery of random shapes and figures in textured surfaces, this project explores the creative potential of spontaneous mark-making. I began by drawing arbitrary lines and shapes on paper, allowing unplanned content to emerge. Once a compelling formation appeared, I would focus on it and develop the drawing further, creating a series of study pieces that balance chance and intentionality.
